30.05.–20.07.2025
Genesis Association, Fondazione Carisbo, and Opera Laboratori, within the framework of the Genus Bononiae cultural project, present an exhibition at Palazzo Fava dedicated to Louise Nevelson (Kyiv, 1899 – New York, 1988), one of the most original figures of the 20th century. Known for her monumental assemblages made from scraps and found materials—and for defying the traditional roles imposed on women of her time—Nevelson anticipated themes that are now central to contemporary discourse, such as memory and the female condition.Curated by Ilaria Bernardi, the exhibition traces the evolution of Nevelson’s work through a selection of historic pieces, offering a contemporary perspective on her radical, visionary, and revolutionary practice.Main Sponsors: Eni and Intesa Sanpaolo.
The exhibition is realized in collaboration with the Fondazione Marconi in Milan and with the support of Heritage and Fondazione Pirelli.
